The dress code for NEET 2025 provides a detailed guideline to the students who wish to appear for the NEET examination. Thus, it is important that students should not violate this basic set of rules that define the NEET dress code. NEET is a national level exam conducted only once a year and May 2025 is the date when the exam will most likely be conducted. 

NEET 2025 Dress Code for Male Candidates

Regarding the dress code for NEET 2025 for men, the examination authority had come up with the information via bulletin. The same information regarding the NEET dress code will be mentioned in the NEET 2025 admit card as well.

• For men it is mandatory that they only wear Half-sleeved t-shirts or shirts
• Simple t-shirts with pockets, trousers can be worn by male candidates.
• Male students are not allowed bulky knitwear, trousers, trousers, large buttons, zippers, or sequins and embroidery.
• The only permitted clothes for male students includes simple male garments that are lightweight.

NEET 2025 Dress Code for Female Candidates

The conducting authority for NEET- the National Testing Agency (NTA) has listed the dress code for NEET 2025 in their information bulletin. Furthermore, these same guidelines will be provided in the NEET 2025 admit card. Some of the guidelines are as follows-

• Female candidates are prohibited from wearing brooches, flowers, badges or wearing jeans which have prints. Instead, they are only allowed to wear normal denim jeans that do not have any stripes on them.
• Females are discouraged from wearing accessories like earrings, nose rings, pendants, necklaces, etc while in the examination hall.
• Female candidates are required to wear light color denim as pants and a t-shirt which has sleeves measuring half way preferably with medium buttons.
• Female candidates are not permitted to wear a Kurti inside the examination hall.
• Leggings and Palazzo are not permitted for female candidates during the NEET 2025.

Applicable Dress Code for 2025 NEET Exam

Candidates wearing a customary/cultural dress like a Turban, Hijab, or Burqa have to report at 12:30 PM along with the NEET 2025 admit card to ensure timely entry after the necessary verification is complete. Candidates who follow a certain religion that prescribes a specific dress can appear for NEET 2025 in their customary dress. 

As per the Delhi High Court order, Sikh candidates are allowed to carry traditional Kangha, Kara, and Kirpan with them. Female candidates are also allowed to wear a Burka. These items will be considered by the authorities as a customary dress.

At the time of filling NEET application form 2025, candidates will be asked whether they wish to wear the customary dress which is not prescribed in the dress code for NEET 2025. Here, they must indicate that they wish to wear a customary dress. However, to help the exam’s managing authority conduct the security checks smoothly, the candidate must report at least an hour before the reporting time. Candidates should follow the NEET dress code 2025 carefully to avoid ‘unfair means’ or misconduct charges against them. 

NEET 2025 list of prohibited items

Along with following the NTA prescribed dress code for NEET 2025, candidates must also ensure that they do not carry any of the prohibited items to the exams center listed below.

• Electronics: It is strictly prohibited for students to bring in mobile phones, pen drives, earphones, earpieces, Bluetooth, or wrist watches to the center for the examination.

• Food items: Students are not allowed to bring food, or any other edible items whether sealed or not, as well as personal bottles. However, diabetic candidates may carry medicines, food and a non-opaque bottle.

• Stationery: Pen/Pencil, Paper, Eraser, Scales, Geometry box, Calculator, and Log tables cannot be brought inside the test venues.

• Personal Items: Wallets, goggles, belts, caps, accessories, cameras, ornaments, etc. may not be taken into the exam hall.
